Summer Treat |
So you thought that the Bronx Symphony Orchestra season had ended!
Not so fast. Our good friends at SEBCO (Southeast Bronx Community Organization) have engaged us to play a free outdoor performance as part of their 40th anniversary celebration. (If you're not familiar with SEBCO, you can read up on them at www.sebcodevelopment.org.)
We'll be playing two Rossini overtures — The Barber of Seville and
La Cenerentola — and Symphony No. 1 by Schubert.
We'll be set up to play outdoors in front of St. Athanasius Church, 878 Tiffany
Street, at the corner of Tiffany and Fox Streets, on Thursday, June 26th, at 6:00
p.m. (Friday, June 27th is the rain date — same time.)
The church is a two-block walk from either the Hunts Point Ave. or the Longwood
Ave. stations on the #6 train. The #19 bus stops at Tiffany St. on Southern
Blvd. — one block from the church.
You're all welcome to attend, and don't say we didn't tell you about it!
